Anonymousasks: what do you think of the whole ariana grande thing? lots of teenagers (whose idols are justin bieber and selena gomez) are now "listening" to immi thanks to/because of ariana grande.

Imogen’s music has proven to me on many occasions that she’s not captivating just one age group. I’ve met many fellow fans at shows that are old enough to be my parents and are moved by her - people who fly across an ocean just for one show! That’s the beautiful part about music. It discriminates against no religion, race, creed, country, nor class.

Any time someone finds Imogen Heap by way of another artist (be it Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, Boys Like Girls, etc.), it’s a means to be thankful. It means that someone else is seeking comfort in the music that you know and love. Someone else will be at the show in your town, singing along to the same song, enjoying the same experience. That person may become your best friend.

What unites us is beautiful, and it’s only worth celebrating.
